biography
Ben Kenobe (real name Nick Brooks) is one of the most distinct creatives in hip-hop today. Born in Washington, D.C., his music blends punchy lyricism with vivid storytelling, drawing influence from DMX, Jay-Z, and Lupe Fiasco. His breakout single “Nosferatu” gained international attention, leading to composing credits for Netflix’s They Cloned Tyrone and HBO’s The Cypher. Outside music, Ben is an award-winning author and filmmaker—his YA debut Promise Boys landed the largest publishing deal for a debut in the category, and he’s written for TV (including an adaptation with the Obamas), film, and games like GTA 6. Even with his cross-medium success, his passion remains making timeless, impactful rap.
